Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch is a 55+ community situated within the Merrill Ranch all-age master plan in Florence, Arizona. Pulte Homes' Dell Webb Division started construction in 2006 and when completed will total 3,800 homes. The community is located 63 miles southeast from downtown Phoenix and 60 miles from PHX Sky Harbor airport.

Amenities

Sun City residents have their own age-restricted, private clubhouse in addition to the Merrill Ranch amenities including an all-age 48,000 square-foot clubhouse with large fitness center, a restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, a ballroom and many activity rooms. The 18-hole 7,300 yard Poston Butte Golf Course designed by Gary Panks and managed by Troon Golf features island greens, stacked stone walls and hole-length bunkers. Merrill Ranch also provides basketball courts, sand volleyball courts and a rock climbing wall, water park as well as tennis, bocce ball and horseshoe courts.

An Activities Director keeps residents busy with events, activities, classes, social gatherings and trips. Sun City has instituted an ASU Lifelong Learning Academy on premises to provide residents with continued education opportunities.
