Sunbird began construction in 1987 with 1,281 stick/stucco-built homes built and an additional 350 manufactured homes eventually installed by Robson Communities. Located in Chandler, Sunbird is located 28 miles southwest of downtown Phoenix and 25 miles from Sky Harbor Airport.

Sunbird amenities start with the member owned, 18 hole executive golf course as well as the attractive clubhouse with restaurant, activity rooms and fitness room. Shuffle board, tennis courts (lighted), pickleball courts and a billiards area compliment two swimming pools.

Golf

The Sunbird golf course is owned and operated by homeowners with memberships available only to residents. Members enjoy reduced golf fees, discounts in the pro shop and have voting privileges.

The course is a par 66 measuring 4457 yards from the blue tees. Single memberships are available for a one time cost of $2,600, dual (couple) memberships are available for a cost of $5,200.
