Sun City Grand is an active-adult community developed by Del E. Webb with construction started in October, 1996 and built out in 2005. Grand is homeowner-owned and managed. Features include four championship golf courses, five swimming pools, two first-class fitness centers, a softball field, and two restaurants. (Special golf rates are available for residents with activity cards)

Sun City Grand has approximately 17,000 residents with approximately 9500 single-family, one-story Southwest style homes, ranging in size from 1096 to 3388 square feet. La Solana Condominiums consist of 252 units ranging in size from 500 to 1000 square feet. The Colonnade provided through Sun Health Senior Living (senior life care community), offers villas, town homes and casitas.
